The talented NNEKA is back in Italy for two dates, after last year's sold-out Milan show. On Monday 23rd July she will be at Rock in Roma, AFTER the Ben Harper show, while the following day we will find her on stage at Carroponte (MI).
Nneka is a girl born in Nigeria to a German mother and a Nigerian father. She approached music early in life, naturally without going unnoticed. After moving to Germany when she came of age, she enrolled in anthropology, met DJ Farhot, opened for Sean Paul and sealed a dazzling start to her Black Music career. In America, someone like that would have made her the queen of hip-hop-soul within a season, in Europe, the girl treads the best stages, in front of the best audiences, with her best repertoire, committed and steeped in political and social denunciation of the fate of the people of the Niger Delta and of her beloved and torn country.
