USELESS WOODEN TOYS: "Lack of Bass", "Teen Drive - In" and now "Bomba!". These are their hits, this is their sound that has made them one of the most requested and loved bands in Italian clubs. They will be the special guests of the exclusive set that Faithless will hold on 26 April at Alcatraz in Milan.
Artistic project born in Cremona in 2002. A DJ and an electronic music producer.
In 2004, their first album was released: 8 tracks between big beat, hip hop and funk, with the collaboration of rapper Esa and Matteo Gosi (voice of Beaucoup Fish).
2007 saw the collaboration with CROOKERS for the remix of the smash-hit 'LIMONARE' ft. La Pisa & Bassi Maestro.
USELESS WOODEN TOYS is now, to all intents and purposes, a very special artistic project, which manages to fuse influences from funk, hip hop and rock into a dancefloor-oriented soul, but in a colourful and fun way.
February 2008 saw the release of DANCEGUM (I Dischi de La Valigetta/Self), the debut album featuring a very special artistic production: BUGO and recorded at Stefano 'Stylophonic' Fontana's Waveform Studio.
Many prestigious features from the best of the Italian independent scene (Bassi Maestro, Uochi Toki, Mc Feb, etc.) and excellent media feedback (Rolling Stone 5/5, Rumore 8, Rockit primascelta, etc.).
The first single CARENZA DI BASSO (ft. Napo - Uochi Toki) is a radio and TV smash-hit with video clips shot by I Ragazzi della Prateria.
This was the start of a long club-tour that took the Nostri all over Italy and on important stages such as Mtv Day, Miami Festival, Magnolia Parade, Tenax, etc.
February 2009 saw the digital distribution of THE DANCEGUM MIX (I Dischi de La Valigetta/Ioda promonet), an album of remixes and edits featuring the best of the national clubbin' scene: Spiller, Scuola Furano, Amari Night members, Cécile, Funkabit, Frost, Not an Exit.
A co-production between La Valigetta and Time Records was also initiated for the release of the second single extracted from Dancegum TEEN DRIVE IN, which, prompted by the splendid video by Dude produzioni and the strong rotation in the best radio and television networks, landed inclusion in the latest Hot parade Spring 2009 compilation, 105 compilation and many others.
In September 2009, LA VALIGETTA released their latest work FUCKIN' BUSINESS, an international ep with remixers of the calibre of Stupid Fresh, Blatta & Inesha, 3 is a Crowd and Magnvm!
2010 saw the release of BOMBA!, a new smash-hit (with accompanying video clip) by the Useless Wooden Toys duo, with guest mc Mistaman.
