For the first of his three Italian concerts, on 19 July at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Bruce Springsteen will have to wait until 10 p.m. before going on stage and starting a three-hour show in front of 'the best audience in the world', as he called the Italian fans. in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. The measure was decided by the capital's authorities to avoid the simultaneous occurrence of the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concert and the first day of the World Swimming Championships, scheduled to take place at the Foro Italico, a structure adjacent to the stadium.
The next two concerts will start at 8.30 p.m., as previously announced. 21 July at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin and 23 July at the Stadio Friuli in Udine.. In any case, all three shows, organised by Claudio Trotta's Barley Arts, will be unique, as the fans who follow Bruce Springsteen constantly know. Unchanged energy, always different setlist, recently enriched also by the requests of the public written on signs that the Boss does not fail to collect during the evening. I still want to drive people crazy under the stage," says Bruce. "I want to entertain the audience, give them joy and fun, but I also want the show to reflect the times we are living in.
And indeed, the first dates of the European tour, which began on 30 May in Holland, have shown Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band - with Jay Weinberg, a great replacement for his father Max, on drums - in sensational form. After a short two-week American interlude, the tour will return to Europe on 27 June, at the Glastonbury Festival, and with a total of 26 dates, will end on 2 August in Santiago, Spain. In the meantime, the fever is growing for the three Italian concerts, for which the tickets for the lawn are sold out, while there is still some availability for some numbered sectors. It's just under 10 hours of live music with Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, who as always will light up the stage to the cry of "Is there anyone alive out there?". The answer is up to the fans.
