18/03/09: DAYS OF THUNDER!

Tickets for the Italian concerts sold out in 50 minutes as soon as they went on sale in October, AC/DC are finally about to bring their Black Ice Tour to Italy, a spectacular show of special effects, fireworks and mega-screens, but above all the pure hard rock that has distinguished them for over 30 years.
In fact the AC/DC of brothers Angus and Malcolm Young are not simply a band, but rather the undisputed fathers of world hard-rock, living symbols and icons since way back in 1976 when with Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - and again Bon Scott on vocals - laid the foundations of a musical genre of which they are still protagonists today. The band, which after Scott's death in 1980 found in Brian Johnson his charismatic successor, debuted at number 1 in the charts in no less than 29 countries, including Italy, with Black Icereleased on 17 October 2008 on the SonyMusic label. The album, the first unreleased since Stiff Upper Lip in 2000, was the best-selling album of the last three years in the US, but also the first to go straight to number 1 in the charts in AC/DC's entire career.
After a North American tour of 41 sold-out datesAc/dc kicked off their European tour on 18 February in Oslo, with the first of 27 concerts in stadiums that will end on 23 April in Birmingham. From May instead, Ac/dc will be in stadiums in various European countries, but not in Italy, at least for this year. The 'rock'n'roll train' in our country only stops in Milan in the next few days: 2 concerts that are already legendary, organised by Barley Arts on 19 and 21 March at the Mediolanum Forum in Assago. Before AC/DC on stage The Answeran Irish hard blues quartet whose influences include Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes and Cream.
