With a new album out - the first studio release to carry on the legendary name of the QUEEN after their newfound unreleased sessions with Freddie Mercury - the English rock band is preparing to spend four months on tour, again in the company of the singer PAUL RODGERSwho had already joined Brian May and Roger Taylor on the occasion of their successful 2005 tour, which included four sold-out dates in Italy and ended with a spectacular concert in London's Hyde Park.
The 2008 tour, which started in Ukraine a fortnight ago, features a highly atmospheric show and a sophisticated and rich stage production. Three mega screens behind the stage ensure that the entire audience is fully involved in the show, and a stage tongue that brings the performers into the crowd ensures close contact with the fans.
Over a million people wanted to see QUEEN again on their last tour. "Queen + Paul Rodgers Rock the Cosmos 2008". will tour 14 countries in seven weeks across Europe and Asia for a total of 28 dates, before taking the band back to South America, where it has been missing since the early 1980s and where it held its biggest ever concert in 1985 at Rock in Rio in front of more than 300,000 people.
The album entitled 'The Cosmos Rocks', released last week, marks the studio debut with Queen for Paul Rodgers, who actively participated with May and Taylor in the songwriting. After the single "Say it's not true presented last summer at the big birthday concert of Nelson Mandela, it is time 'C-lebrity' the song chosen to introduce the new record effort.
Two dates have been scheduled in Italy, the first on 26 September at the Palalottomatica in Romethe second on 28 at the DatchForum in Milan.
The very last tickets for ROME are available at the Palalottomatica box office from 5 p.m., while in MILAN (only non-numbered seats remain) at the DatchForum box office from 4 p.m., on the days of the respective concerts.
