The EUROPE are among those bands that need no introduction, having been one of the rock icons of the 1980s with albums that topped the European charts for months on end. Above all 'The Final Countdown', a generational anthem dating back to 1985. After years of silence, in which various solo experiences alternated, especially for leader and singer Joey Tempest, the Swedish band decided to get back on track with 'Start from the Dark' in 2004, the first unreleased album after the excellent and underrated "Prisioners in Paradise of 1991. The success was incredible, with a sold-out tour and fan enthusiasm beyond all expectations. In 2006 came the second album after the reunion: 'Secret Society' confirms the band's new creative blood, as well as its success with the public.
Next summer, Joey Tempest, John Norum (guitar), Mic Michaeli (keyboards), Ian Haughland (bass) and John Leven (drums) will stop at Ascoli Piceno for an atmospheric date under the stars of People's Square.
In addition to the most recent tracks from their last two studio works, there will be old gems from their repertoire, from 'Carrie' a 'Rock the night'up to 'Supertitious' and the ever-present 'The Final Countdown'.
