Published today, Friday 8 June 'The Window'negramaro's new album. The album, recorded at Plant studios in San Francisco and mastered at Sterling Sound in New York, is produced by Corrado Rustici and arranged by Corrado Rustici and negramaro. The lyrics and music are by Giuliano Sangiorgi. The recordings were made live on reel, leaving Negramaro with just a few takes to define the tracks, just as albums were recorded in the past. The result is an album that sounds 'live'. Among the guests on the album: Il choir of the Accademia del Teatro Santa Cecilia in Rome in the track 'And I will steal the moon for you', Lorenzo Jova Cherubini at 'Rain falls' and the Solis String Quartet playing the strings. The graphics and artistic realisation of the album booklet are the work of Negramaro, who have chosen a little white man with wings drawn on his head, sitting on the edge of a window, open to infinity. "La finestra" is an album of fourteen tracks between rock sounds, melodies inspired by the great Italian singer-songwriter tradition, electronic cues and 'visual' lyrics, which draw images, metaphors to investigate a social and personal malaise in a non-explicit manner. "La finestra" is Negramaro's third album and follows the release of "Mentre tutto scorre", a multi-platinum album that won numerous awards and recognition from critics and the public.
Starting 24 June, Negramaro kick off a new high-profile tour which will take them to perform for the first time in some of the most impressive art venues in Italy. The Window Tour 2007 departs from Cuneo on 24 June and crosses Italy, stopping at prestigious arenas such as Piazza Castello in Ferrara on 28 June, the Teatro Antico in Taormina on 8 July, the Arena in Verona on 23 July, the Roman Amphitheatre in Cagliari on 7 August, and concluding at the Cave del Duca di Cavallino in the province of Lecce on 16 August, for a total of 24 concerts.
