THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS: 16 JUNE ROMA PALALOTTOMATICA

It will be the PALALOTTOMATICA to host the Roman date of THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS, the second and last leg of the Italian tour that will follow the release of the new album, scheduled for June.

While pre-sales for the Milan date are going strong, from 10 a.m. on MONDAY 19 FEBRUARY the tickets for Rome will be available on the TicketOne circuit and from the usual presale outlets.

Their latest performances in our country have definitely left their mark: in March 2005 they were welcomed in Milan by an absolutely sold-out (12,000 attendees) and incredibly warm Forum; three months later, the Italian public flocked in 15,000 to the Arena Parco Nord in Bologna to witness their performance as part of FLIPPAUT 2005, in the company of MOBY, SOULWAX and TIROMANCINO.

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS are gearing up for a busy 2007: next June will see the release of their new album, the successor to the successful 'Push The Button' (2005). So the Manchester duo, consisting of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simonswill be bringing their music live from Italy.

Their story begins in university lecture halls in Manchester in the early 1990s. The first big breakthrough came in 1995 when Virgin released their debut album 'Exit Planet Dust', but it was with their third album 'Surrender' (1999), driven by the hit 'Hey Boy, Hey Girl' (still one of the most danced to tracks in Italian discos), that THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS reached the peak of their fame, becoming one of the icons of international electronic music.
