CHEMICAL BROTHERS OF ITALY UNITE 15 AND 16 JUNE THE ONLY TWO ITALIAN DATES

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS are gearing up for a busy 2007: next June will see the release of their new album (as yet untitled), the successor to the successful 'Push The Bottom' (2005). Then the duo of Manchester, consisting of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simonsare about to bring their music live with a world tour that will stop in Italy on 15 June at Idroscalo in Milan and 16 in Rome, location yet to be confirmed.

As yet, no details on the type of show that will characterise the tour, but there is little doubt that this time too it will be fireworks. Their last performances in our country have definitely left their mark: in March 2005 they were welcomed in Milan by an absolutely sold out (12,000 attendees) and incredibly warm Forum; three months later the Italian public flocked to 15,000 at the Arena Parco Nord in Bologna to watch their performance in the FLIPPAUT 2005in the company of MOBY, SOULWAX and TIROMANCINO.

Their story begins in university lecture halls in Manchester in the early 1990s. The first big step came in 1995 when Virgin released their debut album 'Exit Planet Dust' but it is with the third 'Surrender' (1999), driven by the hit "Hey Boy, Hey Girl" (still among the most danced to tracks in Italian discos), that THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS reached the pinnacle of fame, becoming one of the icons of international electronic music.

The start of pre-sales for the Milan date only is set for Wednesday 31 January, initially only in the TicketOne circuit, later also in the usual pre-sales outlets.
Full details of the Rome concert will be announced shortly.
