In their 30-year career, the Canadian trio Rush had never visited our country. And thirty years of waiting for Italian audiences seemed like an eternity. It is therefore clear how last night, at Rush's first time in ItalyThere was a wonderful air of liberation in the MazdaPalace in Milan, almost as if they wanted to shout to themselves 'Here they are at last! And if there are more than 7,000 people shouting their own liberation, and if, above all, there are Messrs. Neil Peart, Alex Lifeson e Geddy Leethen the much-exploited word "event"In this case, it sums up the true and profound connotations according to which this word was created.
215 minutes of tight prog-rock, acoustic interludes and divine solos proved to the world that bands like Dream Theater might not even have been born today if Rush had not taught them how to play.
