MIKA by popular demand 5 NEW DATES in Italy

It only took 10 minutes for the special 10 June concert at Milan's Fabrique to sell out. Now five new unmissable live shows in Italy have been added by popular demand for MIKA, who in July will perform at two of the most prestigious summer venues, the Teatro Antico in Taormina (Messina) and the Arena della Regina in Cattolica (Rimini), while in September he will tread the boards of the palasport venues of Milan, Rome and Florence.

Tickets for the new dates will be on presale from 10.00 a.m. on Thursday 2 April on the TicketOne circuit.

He has sold over 10 million records worldwide, enthralled Italian TV audiences as an X-Factor judge, and now MIKA finally returns live to Italy to coincide with his long-awaited new album.

While a new song entitled 'Talk About You"For Italian media and fans, the first date will be at the end of April, with the release of the official single 'Good Guys", premiered by Mika himself at the final of X Factor 2014. In the meantime, there will be several surprises leading up to Mika's long-awaited fourth studio album, whose title and release date will be announced very soon by Universal Music.

Mika began his career in 2007 with the single 'Grace Kelly"which sold over 3 million copies worldwide and stayed at number 1 in the UK charts for 5 weeks and at the top of the charts in 6 other countries worldwide. The singles from his debut album, "Life In Cartoon Motion', totalled 6 million sales and the album itself went straight to number 1 in the UK and 11 other countries, selling over 7 million copies worldwide. His second album 'The Boy Who Knew Too Much' (2009) confirmed Mika's success, entering the top ten in more than 10 countries, also thanks to the hits 'We Are Golden", "Blame It On The Girls" e "Rain". In 2011, Mika released 'Elle Me Dit', a French-language single that stayed at the top of the charts in France for eight weeks. With over 300,000 copies "Elle Me Dit"became the second best-selling single of the year and the video clip, starring actress Fanny Ardant, reached 35 million views. The third album "The Origin of Love", released in 2012, contains the huge worldwide hit "Celebrate", produced in collaboration with Pharrell Williams, and the hit "Popular Song", sung in duet with Ariana Grande. In 2013, Mika became a judge on XFactor Italia and coach on the French edition of The Voice; both television experiences turned Mika into an even more popular star, so much so that he was confirmed for subsequent editions. Also in 2013, Mika released a collection of hits and revisited songs exclusively for Italy entitled Songbook Vol. 1which soon went double platinum. The album contains the Italian version of the hit Stardust, the duet with X Factor 2012 winner Chiara Galiazzo, topped the Italian charts for several months and went quadruple platinum for digital sales. During his career Mika has received numerous awards and accolades such as Brits Awards, Grammy, Ivor Novellos, Capital Radio, Q magazine, The NRJs, The World Music Awards, BT and Vodafone, Virgin Media and MTV's Europe, Asia, Australia and Japan and many more.
