Within minutes of pre-sales opening, the sold out of the extraordinary concert by MIKA with the 'AFFINIS CONSORT' orchestra conducted by SIMON LECLERC on 24 October at the Teatro Sociale in Como. The special event, produced and organised by Barley Arts, will be an opportunity to confirm the artist's versatility and the quality of his pop repertoire, also in a classical key. As already happened in Montréal in February in three exciting sold-out concerts, Simon Leclerc will conduct, this time in front of an orchestra specially created for the occasion and formed by 81 international professionals: 65 instrumentalists and 16 choristers.
The very high demand for tickets (the purchase of which was deliberately limited to a maximum of two coupons per person, to minimise the risk of scalping) and the limited capacity of Como's Teatro Sociale meant that all available seats were sold out in no time. Barley Arts, organiser of the concert, would like to reiterate the invitation to the public to do not purchase tickets outside official ticketing circuits (Ticketone, Vivaticket e Teatro Sociale di Como ticket office) e disclaims all liability for the authenticity of tickets purchased through channels other than those listed.
The news of the sell-out in Como comes after the three extraordinary sold-out performances in the arenas of Milan, Rome and Florencewith which Mika rocked the Italian public at the end of September, presenting his fourth studio album on stage, 'No Place in Heaven' (Universal Music, No. 1 on iTunes Italy and top 10 in 17 countries worldwide). The album will be re-released on 13 November with a new edition containing five new songs (including a duet with Fedez and one with Franco Battiato) and a live CD containing the best of the Montreal symphony concerts.
For the many fans who remained without tickets in Como, and for all fans of good music, there is the consolation that the Como concert will be recorded by the cameras of Sky and aired by the end of the year.
