English blues star JOHN MAYALL arrives in Italy for three exclusive dates: Saturday 17 October at the Auditorium Manzoni in Bologna, Sunday 18 October at the Teatro Civico in La Spezia and Monday 19 October at Alcatraz in Milan. Tickets are available on the Ticketone circuit (online and traditional points of sale) and Vivaticket points of sale (complete list of outlets).
The concerts in Bologna and Milan will be opened by the electrock band The Cyborgs.
The artist has recently unveiled his new album 'FIND A WAY TO CARE"produced by John Mayall and Eric Corne at House of Blues Studios.
The career of John Mayall, born in 1933, began with the single 'Crawling Up The Hill / Mr. James' (Decca, 1964) and unfolded in a long series of exceptional collaborations, from opening the first UK tours of John Lee Hooker, T-Bone Walker and Sonny Boy Williamson until the formation of the Bluesbreakers. It will be this veritable hotbed of talent, which includes among its components Mick Taylor and Mick Fleetwood, which brought him popularity in the second half of the 1960s, thanks to such British blues cornerstones as 'John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton' (Decca, 1966). In the 1970s Mayall further explored jazz, rock and blues together with performers such as Blue Mitchell, Red Holloway, Larry Taylor and Harvey Mandel; in 1982 he decided to reform the Bluesbreakers and managed to persuade Mick Taylor, by then a Rolling Stone, to go on tour and record the live concert 'Blues Alive' (RCA Columbia, 1982) in the company of excellent guests such as Etta James, Albert King, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells.
Over the past decade, Mayall has continued to release work on his online label Private Stash Records, including 'Time Capsule' (collection of live recordings from 1957-62) and 'Boogie Woogie Man' (selection of solo performances). In May 2014, his latest album, 'A Special Life' (Forty Below Records), was released to critical acclaim.
