Among the most popular bands on the international alternative rock scene thanks to the unique nuances of the sound, the provocative aesthetic vision and the charismatic figure of the front-woman Shirley Manson, i Garbage released their sixth studio album on 10 June Strange Little Birdsfour years after the previous Not Your Kind Of People, marking a return to the sounds of the acclaimed self-titled debut album. The album was made by collecting a wide range of cues, starting with fan letters and ending with the band members' favourite albums: "the main guideline was to keep it fresh and listen to instinct for both lyrics and music', he recounts Shirley Manson.
Active since 1995, last year the Garbage celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut Garbage with the Deluxe Edition of the record and the 20 Years Queer World Tourwith which they have recorded a long series of sold-out shows all over the world.
