The pop of the Us The Duo is imbued with an intimate emotion that springs directly from the heart: Michael and Carissa Alvarado They use music to talk about their relationship, their love, their experiences. Theirs is an ever-evolving upward journey: after the explosion of their fame on social media thanks to the publication of small clips on Vine, a great deal of press and media attention, in 2014 their No Matter Where You Are, a song written for the exchange of vows during their wedding, became part of the soundtrack of the animated film The Book of Life and soon joined Oprah Winfrey, a big fan of the duo, for the The Life You Want Weekend.
This great success led them directly to signing a contract with Universal Republic Records and the release of Just Love11 original songs that reflect the roots of the couple - on stage and in life - who, after the courageous decision to end their contract with a major label, boast their own profile as independent artists capable of building an immense following simply thanks to social networks. The album is made with a small group of musicians and minimal post-production work: they went into the studio with the aim of creating something on the spot. The result is an album that reflects everyone's ideas and influences: Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson and Prince, Lauryn Hill and even traces of jazz. Just Love was enthusiastically received by the media, from People to Entertainment Weekly, from Billboard to Variety and even the Hollywood Reporter.
