We are finally ready to welcome in Italy Glenn Hughes! The voice of rock will be Friday 17 February at the Zona Roveri in Bologna e Sunday 19 February at the Serraglio in Milan (entrance with ACSI membership card). I tickets will be available on the official circuit Ticketone from 10am on Friday 25 November.
Glenn Hughes will be in Italy to present his new record project, Resonate, released last Friday, 4 November by Frontiers Music. Resonate represents a triumphant return for Hughes, a true musical and vocal icon of our time: from the first notes of the opening track, Heavy, until the last chords of the album's closing track, Long Time Gone, Resonate stands as an excellent contender for album of the year. Made with Soren Andersenco-producer and guitarist, Pontus Engborg to the battery, Lachy Doley on keyboards, a newcomer to the band, Resonate also sees the participation of Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, a great friend of Glenn Hughes. With a sound that might sound harder on the surface, the album actually perfectly encapsulates Glenn Hughes' trademark great musical diversity and completeness.
Singer, bassist and songwriter, Glenn Hughes is one of the most original musicians ever: no other artist in the rock scene has managed to define the contours of such a distinctive style, fusing the best elements of hard rock, soul, funk and R&B. His astonishing voice has always been his calling card, and it is not by chance that he is known to most as The Voice of Rock. Since his debut with Trapeze, the subsequent stages of Glenn Hughes's career have taken him into legendary bands such as Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, without neglecting his solo career and other collaborations with musicians of the calibre of Joe Bonamassa, Derek Sherinian and Jason Bonham.
