"YOU BECOME INVENTIVE 1997-2017" is the project-narrative with which NICCOLÒ FABI will celebrate its 20-YEAR CAREER.
For the Roman singer-songwriter, 2017 will in fact be a year of great celebrations, which will begin with a tour that from June to September will see him perform on Italy's best summer stagesto recount his artistic and musical journey live, and culminating in the unique and special concert on 26 NOVEMBERin which for the first time Niccolò Fabi will take the stage at the PALALOTTOMATICA in ROME.
These are the first confirmed dates of the summer tour, produced by Barley Arts and West28 JUNE in the Martyrs' Square of CARPI (MO) within the CARPI SUMMER FESTthe 30 JUNE a CASTEL SANT'ELMO by NAPLES, the 6 JULY at CARROPONTE of Sesto San Giovanni - MILANthe 7 JULY at SCALIGER CASTLE by VILLAFRANCA (VR), 8 JULY at Royal Square by TURIN for the SUMMER FESTIVALthe 13 JULY at CATHEDRAL SQUARE a PISTOIA for the RED NIGHT (the event organised by Pistoia Blues and Avis Pistoia), the 22 JULY to theVICTORIALE AMPHITHEATRE by GARDONE RIVIERA (BS) for the Festival TENER-A-MENTEthe 6 AUGUST to theFALCONE BORSELLINO AMPHITHEATRE by ZAFFERANA ETNEA (CT), the 12 AUGUST at LOCUS FESTIVAL by LOCOROTONDO (BA), the 26 AUGUST at SFERISTERIUM by MACERATA. The celebrations will close on 26 NOVEMBER with a unique concert at PALALOTTOMATICA by ROME.
Tickets for the Rome, Carpi, Naples, Villafranca, Pistoia, Gardone Riviera and Locorotondo dates will be available in advance from Wednesday 15 March. Presales for the Turin and Zafferana Etnea dates will open soon.
More than 80 songs, 8 records of unreleased tracks, 1 official collection, 1 experimental project as a producer, 1 record of unreleased tracks with the super band FabiSilvestriGazzè, 2 Targhe Tenco for "Best Record Ever"(won for his last two albums) and after 20 years of music Niccolò Fabi is today considered one of the most important Italian singer-songwriters. A lot of music in the singer-songwriter's career, a lot of experimentation and an increasingly evident approach to music from overseas. It is an artistic path centred on the search for expressive freedom that the Roman singer-songwriter has pursued in recent years, as demonstrated by his most recent "A sum of small things"which he himself described as the record he always wanted to write.
This is how Niccolò Fabi comments on his social media: ' While escaping as far as I can from the modern dictatorship of numbers, I wanted to warn you that I am about to capitulate in the face of the 20th anniversary celebrations. After fifteen years of private songs, my first record 'The Gardener' was released in 1997, twenty years ago to be exact. I have always dribbled medal hangings et similaria as best I could because I have always masochistically considered them an obstacle to improvement. But as a now middle-aged man, I am learning to indulge in enjoyment. So let the party be. So there will be a summer tour ending in November at a fest in my hometown. The venue is certainly bombastic and oversized for me: the PalaLottomatica, but as a Roman like it or not, it is the symbolic place of all the most important concerts I have attended in my life. Becoming Inventive is also the tale of what a musician can become by continuing to invent for twenty years, the stubborn attempt to try to like himself. So after the summer, some form of container with my 'songbook' inside will be released. Inevitably a somewhat anthological but, I hope, appetising collection of what the singer-songwriter Fabi and his creativity managed to do between the second and third millennium ".
Singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Niccolò Fabi Over the years, he has continued to work on the relationship between words and music both in terms of performance with appointments within cultural festivals and in terms of training, he is currently a lecturer within the Officina delle arti Pierpaolo Pasolini school. Committed to social issues, the singer-songwriter actively continues his collaboration with the NGO Doctors with Africa - Cuamm and recently co-wrote the show "Sustainable music"It is aimed at understanding and disseminating environmental issues that are often forgotten.
