JOE SATRIANI: the guitar hero adds a third live stage in Italy

After announcing the first Italian stages of his What Happens Next Tour 2018, Joe Satriani adds a third live date in Italy. The guitar hero will then be Friday 20 July at the Castello Visconteo in Pavia for the first edition of the Iride Fraschini Music Festival, Saturday 21 July at the Anfiteatro di Ponente in Molfetta (BA) and Sunday 22 July at the Arena Live! Gran Teatro Geox in Padua. With six gold and six platinum records, over 10 million albums sold worldwide, 15 Grammy nominations and a Grammy won for the band's debut album Chickenfoot, Joe Satriani is one of the most influential guitarists in the world. He began his career as a teacher of some of the leading guitarists of the 80s and 90s, including Kirk Hammet of Metallica and Steve Vai, Joe Satriani has been recognised worldwide, ever since his debut with "Surfing with the Alien"as a six-string phenomenon. Mick Jagger chose him in 1988 to accompany him around the world on his first solo tour, while Deep Purple called him to play with them in Europe and Japan in 1995. The following year, after releasing several solo albums, Joe Satriani He started the G3 project and toured extensively with Steve Vai and Eric Johnson. In 2009, he joined Van Halen's Sammy Hagar and Michale Anthony and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith to form Chickenfoot, with whom he released his debut album of the same name, followed by "III"in 2011.

Technically proficient guitarist, virtuoso of the instrument, Satriani He is familiar with and explores and revisits many techniques of the electric guitar, including two-handed tapping, legato, volume swells, fast picking and many more, making every performance a true performance. Influenced by blues-rock guitar icons - such as Jimi Hendrix, his great idol, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck to name but a few - he also plays a lot of electric guitar. Satriani has created his own recognisable style.
