The new tour of Xavier Rudd will soundtrack his new album, anticipated by the euphoric single, Walk Away, the first new material since 2015. Intense and engaging, it is one of the most powerful tracks ever written by Xavier Ruddwhich intertwines philosophy and music. Produced by Chris Bond (Ben Howard, Tom Speight) and mixed by Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, David Bowie, U2), Walk Away is taken from Xavier's new album, Storm Boy, which showcases his incomparable songwriting taste while displaying impressive signs of his continued growth. Speaking about this new record and the tour that will accompany it, Xavier says: 'I'm proud of my new music and excited to bring it to the people. I am so happy to be touring again this year to so many countries in this magical planet'.
In 2017, Xavier was engaged in his biggest European tour to date, with 28 shows in 34 days and more than 30,000 people. Since the release of his latest studio album, Spirit Birdin 2012, Xavier has performed at some of Europe's most popular festivals - such as Rock Werchter, Hurricane & Southside, Down The Rabbit Hole, Gurten Festival - and has played sold-out shows at Electric Ballroom (London), Melkweg (Amsterdam), Tivoli Vredenburg (Utrecht) and Ancienne Belgique (Brussels).
Follow The Sunby Spirit Bird became his biggest hit in the Netherlands, topping the national radio charts and added to several top Spotify charts and playlists.
2018 will be a year that Xavier Rudd fans will never forget, the release of Storm Boy has already been acclaimed by the public and critics.
The Leading Guy puts songs at the centre of his work to tell something unique and spontaneous, even if painful. She seeks silence so that she can best interpret the sound of what is precious, translating it in an essential way, thanks to a sweet and scratchy vocality. Her debut in 2016 with Memorandumwas received with particular attention, the piece Behind the Yellow Fieldwas chosen as part of the soundtrack of Anything can happenthe Rai1 series. Its newest Times was recently selected by Davidoff for the worldwide advertising campaign in 2018 and Land of Hopeentered Spotify's Viral50 in Italy and Switzerland. Both singles, released by Sony Music, will be part of his new unreleased album due out in early 2019.
