ELBOW return to MILAN in concert this autumn with a NEW ALBUM

The Elbow back on tour with a series of dates that already has a good number of sold out in the UK. The band will be in our country Thursday 7 November to theAlcatraz by Milan and tickets are available from from 10 a.m. on Friday 15 March on circuits Vivaticket e Ticketone (online and point of sale).

With almost thirty years of friendship and artistic career behind them, the Elbow were formed in Bury, a small town near Manchester, United Kingdomwhen they were still in college and have always maintained their original formation, with Guy Garvey (vocals and guitar), Craig Potter (keyboards), Mark Potter (guitar) and Pete Turner (bass). The two most recent albums, The Take Off and Landing of Everything (Fiction Records, 2014) e Little Fictions (Polydor Records, 2017), debuted in the Top British Albums and with their tours around the world have attracted an ever-growing number of fans. The band has built up a very strong credibility over time, staying true to sounds alternatives e post rockmixed with typically Brit pop electronics. Consistency and sincerity are the cornerstones of the group, which has never changed genre but has managed to question its approach to music, thus managing to renew itself with each album.

Always loved also by critics, the Elbow won numerous prizes and awards during their career: a Mercury Prize in 2008 for the album The Seldom Seen Kid and a Brit Award as best band of the year 2009. Also last year Guy Garvey won two awards for best band leader, at the Artist and Manager Awards and the BASCA 2018, and on this occasion, referring to his entire band, he said: "Honesty is a recurring word for us and there is always a perfect balance between love and realism in our music. We are each other's greatest references. After all, it is together that we have spent most of our lives."

The Elbow will release in the coming months a special vinyl version of their Seldom Seen Kid Live At Abbey Road, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its release, and meanwhile they are working on their eighth studio album which will be released by the autumn of this year, accompanied by a tour that will also touch Italy, among many other countries.
