JAKE CLEMONS will be in Holland with three magical summer dates

American multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, Jake Clemons boasts a respectable surname in the music business. Grandson of Clarence Clemons, historical saxophonist of E Street Band by Bruce SpringsteenWhen his uncle passed away in 2012, he took his place in the band. Also renowned for his solo work, Jake Clemons returns to Europe with three fantastic dates that Barley Arts is pleased to announce.

Thu 6 June - NIJMEGEN (NL), Doornroosje

Fri 7 June - THE HAGUE (NL), Paard

Sat 8 June - HILVERSUM (NL), De Vorstin

Jake Clemons made its first EP, Embracing Light(Not On Label), in 2013 and with only five original songs managed to demonstrate his innate talent; he then released his first album Fear & Love in January 2017 that allowed him to become better known and more widely appreciated. Just today, the talented saxophonist returns with a new single entitled Democracya reinterpretation in rock and modern key of the wonderful 1992 classic by Leonard Cohen. This track anticipates the release, planned for May, of a new album whose title has not yet been released and which will be distributed by Sony Music.

About the intrinsic meaning of the word democracy and his personal interpretation of Cohen's song, Jake Clemons he said: "My father, a man whose greatest pride was to serve his country, taught me respect for our flag, for our nation, which should represent the inalienable rights of all its citizens. We are all equal, all stronger if we stand united. Democracy often works slowly, but the more people are united, the more powerful it will be."
