Opening the live shows in Selva di Val Gardena, Brugine and Lissone will be Bocephus King, born James Perry, a Canadian rock musician. Born in Tsawwassen, a small town near Vancouver, it was in this surreal fishing village that the artist found inspiration for his music and lyrics, which are biographical and profound, rich in facets.
Jake Clemons demonstrated his innate talent from the five tracks of his first EP in 2013 Embracing Light. The artist then released his first album Fear & Love in 2017, a work that has enabled him to become known and appreciated worldwide. On 22 March, the talented saxophonist launched a new single entitled Democracya rock and modern reinterpretation of the wonderful 1992 classic by Leonard Cohen. This track anticipates the release of a new album whose title has not yet been released and which will be distributed by Sony/The Orchard.
About the intrinsic meaning of the word democracyand his personal interpretation of Cohen's song, Jake Clemons he said: "My father, a man whose greatest pride was to serve his country, taught me respect for our flag, for our nation, which should represent the inalienable rights of all its citizens. We are all equal, all stronger if we stand united. Democracy often works slowly, but the more people are united, the more powerful it will be."
The memory of Clarence Clemons continues to live on in the hearts of fans and beyond: the story of the E Street Band will be in the best Italian cinemas for three days only (22, 23 and 24 May) with Asbury Park: Fight, Redemption, Rock 'n Roll, a film-event distributed in Italy by Nexo Digital which features exclusive performances and never-before-seen interviews to tell the story of Asbury Park, the hotbed of rock and soul where Bruce Springsteen and other musical giants began their outstanding musical careers.
