Frontman of the Deep Purple 1973 to 1976, Glenn Hughes arrives at Asti to present the songs of the band that marked the history of hard rock: the date is for Tuesday 9 July for the review Asti Music. I tickets will be available from from 10 a.m. on Thursday 2 May on the circuit Ticketone (online and point of sale). Beware of unofficial circuits!
While militating in the Trapezethe very young Glenn Hughes is noticed by the Deep Purple momentarily orphaned by Ian Gillian and Roger Glover and joined the line-up as vocalist and bassist recording Burn (1974), Stormbringer (1974) e Like Taste The Band (1975). In the following years Hughes played in other historical groups, such as the Black Sabbath and in 2016 joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The musician continues with various solo projects in which he mixes elements of hard rock, soul e funk and joins the super group, named Black Country Communion, consisting of Joe Bonamassa (guitar), Derek Sherinian of Dream Theater (keyboards) and Jason Bonham (drums), with whom he made several albums between 2010 and 2017.
Last year Glenn Hughes decided to kick off this tour in which he interprets the greatest hits of the Deep Purple. The show promises to be dynamic, a journey into the past, a tribute to one of the bands that made British rock history. "I am thrilled to be touring with this energetic and engaging show." Hughes stated. "Last year I went through the UK, Australia and New Zealand and it was a whirlwind of emotions, a storm. Nothing has affected me in my life like the music I made with Deep Purple." Together with Glenn Hughes on this tour we will see perform Soren Anderson on guitar, Jesper Bo Hansen on keyboards and the project's new drummer Fer Escobedo.
