MIKA CONCERT STARTS AT 21:30

A tour that is already an eventNever before has an international music star of his calibre been the protagonist of a 12-date tour in Italian arenas. A feat and a record: Mika surpasses himself even compared to the previous 2016 season. Record-breaking live performances in Italy for his 'Revelation Tour'.

Produced in our country by Barley Arts the tour will start Sunday 24 November from Turin (Pala Alpitour) and will continue in large arenas in as many cities: Tue 26, ANCONA (PalaPrometeo); Wed 27, ROME (Sports Palace); Fri 29, CASALECCHIO DI RENO, BOLOGNA (Unipol Arena); Sat 30, MONTICHIARI, BRESCIA (PalaGeorge); Mon 2 December, LIVORNO (Modigliani Forum); Tue 3, ASSAGO, MILAN (Mediolanum Forum); Sat 1 February 2020, PADUA (Kioene Arena); Sun 2, BOLZANO (PalaOnda); Wed 5, NAPLES (PalaPartenope Theatre); Fri 7, BARI (Palaflorio); Sat 8, REGGIO CALABRIA (Palacalafiore).

It will be a good opportunity to present to the public his fifth studio album entitled 'My Name Is Michael Holbrook' (Universal Music): "The songs speak of very serious and personal themes, but offer music of great joy and colour. At a certain point I said to myself: if life throws you a big challenge, turn up the heat, offer your heart, write melodies. I focused on the idea of becoming an adult without losing humanity, warmth, a sense of colour and eccentricity'.

And so the liveche show was born, marking his return to the stage after three years, despite having sung many times in Italy: "The title of the tour relates to my path of identity research and- in fact -revelation that I have embarked on this new artistic adventure. I am working on a show full of surprises, strengthened by the experience and baggage acquired with my television shows, but bringing music back to the centre of everything. In Italy, then, it is a real thrill for me to travel from one end of the Peninsula to the other. With 'Stasera CasaMika' I invited you all to party at my house, this time I will come to your house'.

This new show has been thought through in every detail, as it used to be done: "I changed it four times - says the artist - aware that this tour had to be different from the others made to date. And so I designed a very beautiful set, reminiscent of an immense art installation, large illustrations and photos suspended in the air. The stage is all stretched out towards the audience, and it throws me into an almost dreamlike and intimate dimension'.

The artist will share the stage with a super band of 4 great musicians Timothy Van Der Kuil (guitar); Max Taylor (low); Wouter Van Tornnhout (battery); Mitchell Yoshida (piano):  "Each person will play two instruments. We rehearsed for a month to find the right fit and, with this super concentrate of excellent musicians, it was not difficult“. Some sounds from the album will be used as samples, instead of being synthetically recreated on stage, a stylistic choice that the artist is not particularly fond of in his performances.

Concert Supports of Mika are young and already established musicians

LISBON support in Turin, 24/11:

Luca Fratto, aka Lisbon, is a child of art. Opera mother, rock father and a rehearsal room at home. He started with drums, then added guitar. His backbone is made up of guitar and voice. Lisbon is an all-round artist: he arranges, produces and mixes his songs, protecting himself from the risk of losing his own sonic imprint.Acknowledgements and awards have enriched his journey, from the Premio Lunezia final to the Bindi prize in 2018.

WRONGONYOU in Ancona (on 26/11); Rome (on 27); Bologna (on 29); Livorno (on 2/12); Milan (on 3/12)

The talented singer-songwriter recently released his first album entirely in Italian, MILANO PARLA PIANO (released on 18 October via Carosello Records), winning the challenge with flying colours: nine striking tracks with which the artist tells his story without filters.

BIRTHH support in Montichiari on 30.11

BIRTHH, stage name of Alice Bisi, with her debut album 'Born in the woods' has already captured the attention of media and audiences around the world, counting herself among the best emerging exponents of international alternative pop.

It will be a true one-man-show, an innovative live show, the set-up is majestic: it has six rigging trucks, a staff of about 40 people, an impressive light show to amplify the 'show' effect and make it suitable for a venue in arenas. "I wanted a show with spectacular effects, at the centre will be the music and the audience: it will be a magical combination. A performance without preconstructed patterns or modulations, never the same. Each date will be unique for me and for my fans".

The setlist includes two hours of intense sound, and features alongside the new songs (from the latest record project) Ice Cream, San Remo, Tomorroweven hits from the past Grace Kelly, Stardust, Relax (Take It Easy), Happy Ending and many others.

The artist adds about his performance: "What I have in mind is an intense, sometimes painful show. Some artists take on an artistic alter ego, I did the opposite, I went to discover the man behind the artist. Divided for 12 years between Mika and Michael Holbrook, I made peace with my identity. Because the only way I know how to live and express myself is to create music, to write, to perform. Without that, I don't exist. And, if in the live dimension I can recreate my world and who I am, it will mean that I have made the right choice. The audience will find crazy energy, but also a lot of intimacy, that is very important to me'.

And now all that remains is to welcome Mika to Italy: 'With this tour I want to thank Italy and the Italians, who have always been very generous with me, and who have accepted me into their homes from the very beginning'.
