Steve Vai announced today that theInviolate World Tour will be enriched by a series of stops in Europe, starting with Glasgow on 4 June. Go will be on the continent until mid-July and the tour will also touch down in Italy in five occasions:
Friday 1 July - Udine, UdineVola / Udine Castle
Saturday 2 July - Macerata, Sferisterio
Sunday 3 July - Bari, Petruzzelli Theatre
Monday 4 July - Florence, Ultravox Florence
Tuesday 5 July - Gardone Riviera (BS), Tener-a-mente / Anfiteatro del Vittoriale
I tickets will be available from 11 a.m. on Wednesday 2 March at Ticketone (all dates), Vivaticket e CiaoticketsĀ (Macerata), Box Office Tuscany (Florence) and AmphitheatreDelVittoriale.it (Gardone). Exclusively on Ticketonethere will also be three types of VIP packages.
Go will be accompanied by long-standing collaborators Dave Weiner (guitar, keyboards), Philip Bynoe (bass) and Jeremy Colson (battery). For Go "It's amazing to realise that after three years without bringing our show on stage now this moment is finally on the horizon, and we'll be starting our European tour this summer. I can already look forward to the return on the road and the enthusiastic audiences we will meet."
Last 28 January Favored Nations / Mascot Label Group released his latest studio work entitled Inviolatewhich will be released in LP format on 18 March. During 2022 Go has announced 52 shows in the US, in a coast-to-coast tour starting in El Cajon (California) on 28 September and ending in Los Angeles on 3 December.
Considered by many to be the greatest guitarist of all time, in his more than 40-year career Steve Vai sold over 15 million discs, won three Grammy Awards and recorded with legends such as Frank Zappa, David Lee Roth, Whitesnake and many others. Go has also taken part in several projects such as G3 (with lineups that have from time to time included Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Eric Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen e Steve Lukather) and the supergroup Generation Axe formed together with Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt e Tosin Abasi. He is also the author of the music theory book Vaidology: Basic Music Theory for Guitar Players (Hal Leonard).
