After the last stage in Milan, Stu Larsen comes to Sardinia, for the first time accompanied by a band. The date is set forĀ Thursday 9 June 2022Ā at the exhibitionĀ Ateneika of Cagliari, aĀ free admission.
Starting with the debut EP The Black TreeStu's discography reflects every step of his adventure. "In 2014 and 2015 I was a wanderer, a nomad and an adventurer," he says. "2017 and 2018 were more stable years: I created a kind of routine for myself in the particular kind of life I chose. I continued to travel and explore, but I got to know myself better as a person. 2019 saw me searching for true love, genuine happiness and connection with the world, not just romance."
During the concerts, the Queensland-born singer-songwriter and rambling storyteller will present Marigoldreleased in April 2020 by Nettwerk Records. The eleven tracks are about Stu's internal and external progress. In the period between this work and the previous Resolute, Larsen fell in love and had his heart broken, which enabled him to find the inspiration to write. "I think these songs are more personal than any other in my work. They are about how I fell madly in love with someone who came into my life and disappeared after a while. It's very personal and I'm very attached to the message and the emotions it conveys. Travelling didn't necessarily influence the lyrics of the songs, but it definitely played a role in the relationship and gave life to the songs, because I wrote on the road from everywhere from Eastern Europe to South America. The lesson I learned from the whole situation is that love is really a mystery.".
