Comfort Festival focuses on the psycho-physical well-being of the public and not on the quest for large mass numbers. The festival was born from a very simple idea of Claudio Trotta: to use a spacious, beautiful and natural location - the same one where Bruce Springsteen's concert will take place on 18 May - limiting the capacity to a few thousand people and focusing on the overall comfort of the individual participants. The result is a Festival where one can enjoy being together while listening to music comfortably, sitting on a deckchair or a chair or lying on the lawn with one's own towel, in a cosy, green location, where each spectator will have adequate physical space to enjoy the cultural space of which they are a part.

On Sunday 2 July, Ferrara's G. Bassani Urban Park will host live performances by: Jack Johnson, one of the most popular and award-winning US folk-rock singer-songwriters, several times platinum-selling, has always been active on issues of environmentalism and sustainability; Wolfmotherthe popular Australian rock band led by Andrew Stockdale; Glen HansardOscar-winning singer-songwriter and lead vocalist/guitarist of the bands The Frames e The Swell Season; Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweatsone of the most recognisable newcomers to contemporary rock'n'roll; Francesco Piu, guitarist, singer and songwriter, with eight albums to his credit and thousands of concerts in Italy, Europe, Canada and the USA, where he represented Italy at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis; the all-female rock band, Pillow Queenswhich, after the overwhelming success of their last tour in Europe and North America, comes to Italy for the first time; Ocie Elliotthe Canadian indie-folk duo, nominated at the JUNO Awards; Mary GauthierGrammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter and accomplished author; Philadelphia psych-pop maestro Kurt Vilejoined by his band the Violatorsin Italy to present the new album.
