Comfort Festival is ready to turn the spotlight on the 2023 edition, which will see, Sunday 2 Julya whole day of great art-house rock music and a rich line-up of national and international artists.
In agreement with the Municipality of Ferrara and for the launch by the municipal authorities themselves of a series of exceptional works which will affect the G. Bassani Urban Park - aimed not only at regrowing the grass, but also at a real redevelopment of the park area, the paths and the upgrading of some of the street furniture - the Festival will move this year to the at a new venue: Piazza Trento Trieste, in the heart of the city of Ferrarain the same location that will also host the Ferrara Summer Festival.
Comfort Festival focuses on the psycho-physical well-being of the public and not on the quest for large mass numbers. The festival is based on a very simple idea by Claudio Trotta: to use a spacious location by limiting its capacity and focusing on the overall comfort of the individual participants. The result is a Festival where each spectator will have the appropriate physical space to enjoy the event of which they are a part, and this will also be guaranteed in the new location despite the diversity of the city's natural and historical environment.
This is the updated line-up for Sunday 2 July: Jack Johnson, one of the most popular and award-winning US folk-rock singer-songwriters, several times platinum-selling, has always been active on issues of environmentalism and sustainability; Wolfmotherthe popular Australian rock band led by Andrew Stockdale; Glen HansardOscar-winning singer/songwriter and lead vocalist/guitarist of the band The Frames e The Swell Season; Francesco Piu, guitarist, singer and songwriter, with eight albums to his credit and thousands of concerts in Italy, Europe, Canada and the USA, where he represented Italy at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis; the all-female rock band, Pillow Queenswhich, after the overwhelming success of their last tour in Europe and North America, comes to Italy for the first time; Ocie ElliotCanadian indie-folk duo, nominated at the JUNO Awards; Philadelphia psych-pop maestro Kurt Vilejoined by his band the Violatorsin Italy to present the new album.
