After last year's special sell-out, Albert Lee returns to Italy! The living guitar legend will be Friday 20 July at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan for the Estate Sforzesca and Saturday 21 July at Blues in Villa in Brugnera (PN). Tickets will be available from 10 a.m. on Thursday 26 April on official channels Vivaticket for the Milan date and Do It Yourself for the stage in Brugnera. Be wary of unofficial sales channels.
Known for his particular mixed plectrum and right hand finger technique, called chicken picking, and for his virtuosity, Albert Lee He occupies a special niche in music: British by birth, he spent the mid-1960s as an R&B guitarist, before becoming one of the best rockabilly and country guitarists in the 1970s. In England he is a true icon, but also in Nashville and Los Angeles he was immediately counted among the most sought-after guitarists.
Albert Lee has collaborated with the greatest artists of all time, including Ritchie Blackmore, Joe Cocker, Ian Paice, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris, Tommy Emmanuel. His career is studded with great successes, both with the important collaborations he has taken part in and solo. Along the way he has won 2 Grammys and received 3 additional nominations. With a fifty-year career behind him, Lee is now part of that ever more limited circle of virtuosos: acclaimed on 3 continents and esteemed by all his colleagues, Albert Lee is today the legend he dreamed of being when he took his first steps in music.
