The acclaimed Nahkoalready known for his work with the Medicine for the People, announced his first solo shows in Europe of 2018 including two dates in Italy: Tuesday 3 July at the Giardino di Monk in Rome e Wednesday 4 July at the Parco Tittoni in Desio (MB) as part of the festival Hello Folks 2018. During the tour, which kicks off in Dublin on 18 April, Nahko will be accompanied by singer-songwriter and friend Trevor Hall and will have Bobby Alu as special guest. The tour comes on the heels of the release of the debut solo album by Nahko My Name is Bearreleased last year by the Side One DummyThis is a collection of intimate and deeply personal pieces that originated during his formative years as an artist, a sort of prequel to his collaboration with Medicine for the People. Skilled pianist and guitarist, Nahko promoted the release of the album with a series of sold-out concerts in the UK last December, and will soon be back to present an evening full of poetry, history and the medicine of brotherhood.
The music of Trevor Hall is a blend of roots and folk music with a touch of inspiration straight from India. His latest album, The Fruitful DarknessIt was registered thanks to a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter that proved to be the most successful on the platform during 2017.
