It's official: the two magical Italian summer dates with Ben Harper and his six-string are officially SOLD OUT. Barley Arts Promotion recommends, as always, to be wary of alternative circuits to the official ones and not to buy on secondary ticketing sites.
Starting with his debut album in 1994, Welcome To The Cruel World (Virgin Records), Harper has released 14 studio albums in a 23-year career, both as a solo artist and with the Innocent Criminals and other projects. This long series of work has allowed Ben to establish himself as an extraordinarily prolific singer-songwriter, as well as a performer capable of spanning multiple genres: blues, folk, soul, reggae, rock meet his unique ability to mix personal lyrics with political themes.
His fan base grows day by day, and critics love him too: Rolling Stone hailed his pieces as 'jewels of unique and exquisitely tender rock & roll', Entertainment Weekly praised its depth and Billboard wrote that 'his music reminds us of the beauty and power of simplicity'. Sold out tours worldwide, debuts in the US Top 10, gold and platinum certifications and a pile of Grammy Awards: this is Ben Harper.
Ben Harper is only the latest of the artists confirmed by Barley Arts Promotion in the beautiful setting of theVittoriale Amphitheatrewhich during the summer will host Ryan Adams (12 July), the British Elbow (15 July) and Niccolò Fabi with the 20th anniversary tour Becoming Inventors 1997 - 2017 (22 July). The collaboration between the Vittoriale e Barley Arts is well established: over the years Counting Crows, Paul Weller, Steve Vai, John Butler Trio, Gov't Mule, Rufus Wainwright, Jackson Browne & David Lindley took turns on stage in Gardone.
