ANDREAS VOLLENWEIDER AT THE MILAN CONSERVATORY ... BUT DON'T CALL IT NEW AGE!

One of the greatest and most eclectic harp players, a modern composer prone to experimentation and the combination of several genres, winner of the Grammy Award: this is Andreas Vollenweider, a Swiss musician who announces his return to Italy after three dates last April. The only Italian date this autumn is scheduled on 27 October at the Sala Verdi of the Milan Conservatory of Music.

Vollenweider has taken his electro-acoustic harp all over the world, played with the greatest musicians and sold more than 10 million album copies. In his career he has won many awards including the aforementioned Grammy, as well as a Music Award. He is also known for having made some modifications to his harp in order to make it more percussive, thus adapting it more to his music, which he called Contemporary Cosmopolitan Instrumental Musicmusic of great evocative power.
