After lending his extraordinary vocal qualities to the Dutch prog-metal band for 13 years The Gathering, Anneke embarked on a solo career in 2007. Together with the new band Agua de Annique, the singer produced several works that received wide public and critical acclaim. Between albums, she collaborates with long-standing friends and colleagues, from Anathema (in the album 'Falling Deeper'), to the eccentric Devin Townsend (in the albums 'Addicted!' and 'Epicloud'), to fellow countrymen Within Temptation (in 'Black Symphony'). After receiving two nominations at the Edison Awards - the most prestigious music awards in the Netherlands - in the categories 'Best Female Artist' and 'Best Album' for the album 'Best Female Artist'.Everything is Changing"of 2012, Anneke published 'Drive' in autumn 2013.
