Appointment in Milan for JAMES MORRISON and his new album 'HIGHER THAN HERE'

A few days after the release of his fourth studio album 'Higher Than Here' (Universal Music), James Morrison returns to the Italian stage: Tuesday 26 April 2016 at Alcatraz in Milan. Le pre-sales of tickets will open on the circuit Ticketone at 9 a.m. on Friday 20 November.

In almost ten years of career, James Morrison collected a long string of successes: starting with the debut single "You Give Me Something" through the duet with Nelly Furtado at 'Broken Strings' and the BRIT Award in the category Best Male conquered at only 21 years of age, to arrive on the same stage as Bruce Springsteen e Stevie Wonder, Morrison paved the way for colleagues Ed Sheeran, George Ezra e James Bay.

His debut album 'Undiscovered' (Universal Music, 2006) immediately hit number one in the UK charts, selling over a million copies. In 2007, it received three nominations for the BRIT Awards and won the award in the category Best British male soloistThe following year, he released his second album "Songs For You, Truths For Me". (Polydor)which confirms the singer-songwriter's success.

'Demons' is the single anticipating the album, which has already racked up almost one million views on YouTube. 'Higher Than Here' comes four years after 'The Awakening' (Island Records, 2011)during which Morrison has written about 70 songs: "I wanted it to sound less traditional. I wanted it to be a more modern album without losing the style that I tried to build over time, so I reset everything at the beginning and after about six months, when I felt it wasn't what I wanted, I started again.".
