APPOINTMENT WITH THE HISTORY OF GREAT AMERICAN ROCK: LITTLE FEAT IN BRESCIA

The Black Crowes, The Byrds, Jackson Browne and Van Halen are just some of the names playing covers of the Little Feat in their sets. The importance of this line-up, which comes to Italy for an exclusive date in Cologne (BS) on 5 February, has its roots in the late 1960s and mixes its origins with the genius of Frank Zappa. The founder Lowell Georgewho died in 1979, was in fact part of the legendary Mothers of Inventionband of the great Baltimore composer.

The current line-up of Little Feat, the one we will see on tour in Italy, has been virtually stable since 1988, although the band has considerably reduced their appearances.
Since 1993 we find the songwriter Shaun Murphywho took over from Craig Fullervoice that took the place of Lowell's after his death.

The other pillars of the Little Feat story are Richie Hayward (drums), Paul Barrere (guitar) and Bill Payne (keyboards).
Their first self-titled album is part of American rock legend, especially thanks to the track 'Willin', and the following 'Sailin' Shoes', a work that contains classics such as 'Easy to Slip' and 'Trouble', is no less.
The best testimony left by Little Feat remains the monumental live album celebrating their 25th year of activity, the quadruple disc containing no less than eighty-three tracks, in which we find precious duets with Bob Dylan, Jeff Beck, Robert Plant and Willie Nelsonamong others.
The latest studio work, definitely the best in the last twenty years, is called 'Rooster Rag' and contains previously unreleased tracks written by Paul Barrere, Robert Hunter, Bill Payne and Fred Tackett.
Here are the details of this rendezvous with the history of great star-studded rock:
