ARCHIVE, a summer event in the beautiful Villa Ada in Rome!

After the success of last autumn's Milan date, the Archive return to present their new album The False Foundation (Dangervist Cooperative, 2016) in an open-air concert in the beautiful Villa Ada in Rome Wednesday 12 July. I tickets will be available on Ticketone (. and points of sale) from from 11 a.m. on Wednesday 22 March.

A British collective that mixes progressive rock, trip-hop, electronica, psychedelia and ambient, the Archive were born in 1993 in London from an idea of Darius Keeler e Rosko Johnjoined shortly afterwards by Danny Griffiths and the vocalist Roya Arab. In 1996 they made their debut with Londiniuma mix of trip-hop, electronica and breakbeat alongside artists such as Massive Attack e Portishead. The moderate critical success does not prevent Rosko John e Roya Arab to leave the band; the latter is replaced by Suzanne Woodertogether with which the ensemble prints Take My Head. There is no end to the changes within the line-up and, after three albums together with Craig Walkerin 2004 Keeler e Griffiths decide to transform the band into a collective of individual artists who offer their contribution to keep the traditional sound of the Archive. To date the Archive have to their credit the soundtrack of the film Michel Vaillant (2003)three compilations, seven live albums, three EPs and ten studio albums, the latest being The False Foundation.

In addition to the two founders Darius Keeler (lyrics, synthesiser, piano, programming, arrangements) and Danny Griffiths (lyrics, synthesiser, samples, programming, arrangements), to date the collective Archive includes Pollard Berrier (lyrics, vocals, guitar, programming, arrangements), Dave Pen (lyrics, vocals, guitar), Maria Q (voice), Holly Martin (voice), Steve Harris (guitar, backing vocals), Jonathan Noyce (low), Steve 'The Menace' Davis (low), Steve 'Smiley' Barnard (battery), Mickey Hurcombe (guitar) and Tom Brazelle (harmonica).
