LUCKY CHOPS comes to Italy: three unmissable dates for New York City brass band

They racked up one sell-out after another on their recent European tour and now the Lucky Chops are set to make a stop in Italy as well. Dates with the New York City brass band are set for Monday 5 December at Serraglio in Milan, Tuesday 6 December at Quirinetta Caffè Concerto in Rome and Wednesday 7 December at Locomotiv Club in Bologna. Tickets will be available on Ticketone circuit from 10 a.m. on Friday 24 June; admission to the concert by Milan is reserved for holders of ACSI membership card, qtion for the date of Bologna at ASCI members.

I Lucky Chops - Josh Holcomb (trombone), Daro Behroozi (tenor sax), Leo P. (baritone sax), Kevin Congleton (battery), Joshua Gawel (trumpet) e Raphael Buyo (sousaphone) - are a small brass ensemble that took its first steps in the New York subways. The brass band is armed with the conviction that the positivity of music can change the world and is intent on inspiring its audiences and transmitting the intensity of its energy to them. The musical aesthetic of the Lucky Chops is perfectly encapsulated in their latest publication, Best Things (http://bit.ly/28KoFkV)an exciting single that showcases the solos of all the musicians, their technical skills and their focus on pop songwriting. The song is about simple pleasures and reminds us how the best things in life are the free ones.

The fame of the Lucky Chops grew up on the web: fans everywhere got to know the band through their online videos. Very quickly their concerts were viewed by more than 100 million people, as well as their pop and rock covers and the original material they recorded in New York subways. But playing live for fans for the Lucky Chops is another story: as the trombonist suggests Josh Holcomb, a video cannot convey the emotions and energy of a live performance. Their incredible success on the net immediately brought them to the attention of the high-profile media, which emphasised their fresh, full-of-life approach to brass instruments and music in general.
