Amythyst Kiah is an American singer-songwriter.

His debut album on the label Rounder Records Wary + Strange marks an unprecedented collision between two very different worlds: the iconoclastic alt-rock that first ignited a passion for music in Amythyst Kiahroot music with which he has achieved success in recent years, including the recognition of Rolling Stoneas "one of the best emerging secrets in Americana". In addition to drawing on the musicality she has honed through her studies in the programme at East Tennessee State University, the Chattanooga singer-songwriter has demonstrated great talent as a member of the supergroup Our Native Daughtersobtaining the title of Song of the Year at Folk Alliance International Awards in addition to the aforementioned Grammy Awards nomination.
