The Milan Conservatory of Music, home to important seasons of chamber and symphonic music, has decided to open its doors to concerts of other musical genres as well, entrusting its exclusive programming at Claudio Trotta's Barley Arts, for the years 2005 to 2007.

Already confirmed are some of the thirty-two shows in the agreement: the Sala Verdi will host a double date with VAN MORRISON on 13 AND 14 MAY, followed on 11 JUNE by the first Italian performance of the VAN DER GRAAF GENERATORthe historic 1970s progressive band, which recently reunited in an original line-up around its leader PETER HAMMILL and is about to release a double CD of new songs.

Naturally, the programme will soon be enriched by other concerts of various genres, without neglecting anything in terms of quality and musical variety: in particular for the launch of the season Barley Arts is organising a special opening event, which will be held in the second half of March and promises surprises and fireworks.
