Natural daughter of 10 Days Played, the review will take place in Desio, in the heart of Brianzain the Tittoni Parklocated inside Villa Tittoni Traversi, a historic work by the well-known architect Giuseppe Piermarini. The shows, the calendar of which is constantly being updated, will be held in the midst of nature, surely the most suitable atmosphere to enter the world of singer-songwriting.
She will be the guitarist Kaki King to open Hello Folks Sessions with a special show: Monday 23 May will take the stage in Parco Tittoni with "The Neck Is A Bridge To The Body'.a show that deconstructs and redefines the role of the solo artist through an extraordinary multimedia performance using the projection mapping, an experimental video projection technique that makes it possible to transform a surface into a screen on which to project video content created from the geometric characteristics of the surface itself: specifically, an Ovation Adamas 1581-KK Kaki King Signature 6-String acoustic guitar created especially for the occasion. Kaki King returns to Italy with this show after the success of its mini-tour last November, which saw the sold out of the Milan and Bologna concerts, and is preparing to announce new Italian dates.
Tuesday 31 May will be the turn of Jonathan Wilson, Californian artist and producer who is about to embark on his first solo acoustic tour. The Desio date will be the only chance for Italian fans to see Wilson, who for the rest of the year will be busy in the studio recording his next album; the show will retrace the career of Wilsonwith tracks from his two albums 'Gentle Spirit' (2011) e 'Fanfares' (2013) and its work 'Frankie Ray'which was released in a limited edition and has become a cult object among fans. The latest album 'Fanfares' is an ambitious production of grandiose epic rock that continues the path of reinterpreting the Laurel Canyon sound in a modern and revisited key. It is no coincidence that the record features, as guests, some of the fundamental protagonists of the 70s Californian rock scene, such as Graham Nash, David Crosby e Jackson Browne. Wilson's guitarist, Omar Velasco, will open the concert by presenting his solo pieces in an unplugged version.
Israel Nash will arrive at Hello Folks Sessions Wednesday 29 June. The singer-songwriter, defined by Uncut "a psychedelic pioneer, biblical in name and beard".will present his latest work on this occasion "Israel Nash's Silver Season (Loose/Thirty Tigers, 2015) together with his band. Despite its Texas residency, the sound of Nash has its roots in 1960s Los Angeles folk-rock, with clear references to the sound of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and to the whole movement spawned by the Newport Folk Festival.
Fresh from the success of their three Italian dates last October, Ryan Bingham and his band will be guests at Parco Tittoni Wednesday 6 July. The singer-songwriter came to worldwide fame thanks to the award-winning film Crazy Heart (2009)In addition to playing a small part in the film, he wrote two tracks for the soundtrack including the theme song 'The Weary Kind'produced by the legendary T Bone Burnett, which in 2010 obtained a Golden Globe and a Oscar such as Best Original Songa Grammy Award and the title of Song of the year at the ninth edition of the Americana Music Association Awards. Subsequent albums 'Junky Star' (Lost Highway Records, 2010), 'Tomorrowland' (Axster/Bingham Records, 2012) e "Fear And Saturday Night (Axster Bingham Records, 2015) were well received by the public and critics and consecrated Bingham as one of the new spokesmen for the Americana genre.
