Last night was the national debut at the Milan Auditorium for the BBC Earth Concerts, produced by Barley Arts e LaVerdi. The world's most fascinating and award-winning documentary TV series appeared on the Auditorium screen, set to music by theMilan Symphony Orchestra Giuseppe Verdi directed by Master Danilo Grassialso appreciated in the sympathetic role of narrator. The enchanting voice of Valentina Ferrari accompanied some passages of the show, a welcome return for her in a Barley Arts production after her acclaimed role as Killer Queen in We Will Rock You.
Spectators were delighted by the first of the three BBC documentaries on programme at the Auditorium, Planet Earthwith incredible images of nature from five continents. The stories of caribou, arctic foxes and beautiful tropical birds were illustrated to the soundtrack of original compositions by the Master George Fenton performed by theMilan Symphony Orchestra Giuseppe Verdi, proud co-star of this great audiovisual show under the expert guidance of the Master Danilo Grassi.
The Documentary Planet Earth will be repeated twice at theMilan Auditorium months of July and August, while the two more BBC shows: The Blue Planetdedicated to the oceans, and Frozen Planetwhich has as its theme the extraordinary world of ice.
"Our planet is still full of wonders. By exploring it we learn not only to understand it, but also to love it or destroy it. The choice is ours'.
