Just over a year after their overwhelming concert at Alcatraz in Milan, the Blackberry Smoke return to Italy in June for two new dates with their latest album Holding All The Rosessupported in the opening by SIMO: Tuesday 28 June at Postepay Rock in Roma (RM) and Wednesday 29 June at Carroponte (Sesto San Giovanni, MI). Le pre-sales will be active from 11 a.m. on Wednesday 24 February on circuit Ticketone. For the Rome date, the Postepay Rock In Roma Club Presalededicated to members of the Postepay Rock In Romeclub can only be registered on the festival website: registered users will receive an email with a unique code valid to access theexclusive advance sale, active since Tuesday 23 February.
US Southern rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, the Blackberry Smoke boast over 15 years of tireless career with an average of 250 concerts per year, both as headliners and as support acts for legends such as ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Zac Brown and Eric Church. The band will bring their fourth studio album to Italian stages Holding All The Rosespublished last year by Rounder Records, proposing once again all the energy and authenticity that characterises the sound of the Blackberry Smoke: that blend of blues rock, gospel and country enriched by three-voice harmonies and a skilful use of fiddle and percussion, which has made them one of the most exciting live rock'n'roll bands in the US.
Opening both Italian concerts will be the SIMOpsychedelic blues rock power-trio from Nashville, Tennessee, led by guitar virtuoso JD Simo. Known for the high level of improvisation in their performances, between blues and Southern rock sounds contaminated by jazz and R&B, the SIMO will present their new album live Let Love Show The Waypublished in January for the Mascot Label (formerly the label of artists such as Joe Bonamassa, Volbeat e Black Label Society).
