New album and new European tour for the Scandinavian band, presenting the sixth full-length of his career, 'Blodsvept', released in March 2013 by Century Media Records.
Unmissable evening for viking metal lovers on Tuesday 24 September 2013 at the R'n'r Arena in Romagnano Sesia (No). Headlining the show will be Finland's Finntroll; accompanying them at the opening are two exceptional supporters: Týr from the Faroe Islands and Iceland's Skalmõld.
"Blodsvept' marks a return to the black and death metal sounds that characterised the band's early days. The furious rhythms and dark metal attitude are perfectly balanced with melodic elements inspired by the folk tradition of Finland and beyond.
In the words of US Decibel magazine, this record ranges "from the death'n'roll of Dick Dale, to the agitated swing of a hellish big band, via carnivalesque oddities reminiscent of Mr. Bungle, and ends up sounding like the Pogues engaged in an amphetamine-fuelled jam session with the In Flames".
To quote the British tabloid The Sun: 'If Mordor had a club, Finntroll would be the resident band'.
After a handful of exclusive release shows in May, Finntroll return to set Europe ablaze with a full tour that promises to be spectacular, featuring old and new classics.
