After announcing their return to Italy after a very hot date last May, the Catfish and the Bottlemen confirm that it will be Lilian More preceding them on stage at theAlcatraz, Milan Wednesday 5 February. Lilian More, a young Italian singer-songwriter and pop punk music lover, approached the music world at the age of 9. In the last three years she has managed to make a name for herself among emerging artists, winning the title of Artist of the Month on MTV New Generationto join major international bands on tour including Kasabian, White Lies e Primal Scream, performing on big stages and collaborating with a well-known UK label, which brought her to live in the UK in 2019. An explosive mix of super pop melodies, punk guitars and grit to spare.
Fans who were not present at their 2019 concert will have a new opportunity to hear live The Balancethe third album by the Catfish and the Bottlemenreleased by Island Records the 26 April. To make this record, the band enlisted the help of producer Jacknife Lee and lived in a kind of seclusion in the countryside of Ireland and East Lincolnshire, England. In this regard McCann stated: "We all loved living together. We spent all our time there, waking up and working until night. Jacknife was the first one up and the last one to go to bed. It's nice to be completely absorbed in recording in a place like that and living together, because we spent whole days talking about the songs. They were the most fun recording sessions we ever had". The disc, which contains the singles Longshot, Fluctuate, 2all e Conversation, the album follows The Rideaward-winning golden disc and the debut The Balconywhich went platinum. The three records are linked together thanks to the contribution of the San Francisco artist Tim Lahancommissioned for the third time to design the cover image, and thanks to the immediacy of the Catfish and the Bottleman that characterises all their work, proving that being simple is neither a disgrace nor the easiest path to take.
I Catfish and the Bottlemen are Van McCann (vocals and guitar), Johnny Bond (guitar), Robert "Bob" Hall (drums) and Benji Blakeway (bass). With their unmistakable sound, the group alternative rock is preparing to return to Italy, having sold millions of albums, conquering stages all over the world since its inception, from the Wembley arena to the United States, from Australia to Japan.
