British guitarist and blues rock singer Joanne Shaw Taylor will be in Italy for a single date Thursday 21 February at the Legend Club in Milan. Tickets are available on the official circuits Ticketone e Vivaticketbe wary of unofficial sales channels.
Before her on stage will be the Fabio Marza Band, formed by Fabio Marzaroli (vocals and guitar), Greta Bragoni (vocals and choirs), Fabio Mellerio (bass) and Max Ferraro (drums). The band, which has been active since 2008, draws on the great classics of the blues tradition and has had several opportunities to perform at major Italian festivals or opening for artists such as Brunori Sas, Fabrizio Poggi and the Treves Blues Band.
Joanne Shaw Taylor he got into the blues as a teenager, listening to the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix, but it was only when he met Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, who invited her on tour, Joanne began touring Europe. With her debut album, White Sugar (Ruf, 2009), Taylor gained some notoriety and was placed in the Top 10 of the US Billboard Top Blues Albums Chart. This year the artist is back on tour with a series of newly released singles, including Best Thing released last week, and a new album, Reckless Heart (Silvertone/Sony Music)scheduled for release on 15 March.
