After a long tour that continues to take them around the country, Il Muro del Canto announces a truly unmissable evening in the company of another pillar of the Roman music scene, the Colle der Fomento: Sunday 16 February the two ensembles will be together on stage at the Santa Cecilia Hall of the'Auditorium Parco della Musica, Rome to talk about the capital in an evening entitled Ugly, Dirty and Bad. Tickets for this unmissable event will be available on the circuit Ticketone from 11 a.m. on Monday 18 November.
Ugly, Dirty and Bad is an evening in which the music and stories of the two Roman bands Colle der Fomento e The Wall of Canto will merge for a raw and passionate account of the city. Both will perform repertoire pieces and excerpts from their latest studio works, respectively Adversus e L'Amore Mio Non More. It will be a concert full of surprises and unreleased versions of the pieces, which will be enriched with collaborations and surprise guests. All this in the splendid setting of the most prestigious hall that Rome has to offer, the temple of classical music: the Sala Santa Cecilia at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. 25 years after the birth of the Colle der Fomento and 10 years after that of Il Muro del Canto this will be a unique opportunity for the many supporters of the two bands.
I Colle der Fomento were born in Rome in 1994 and are formed by Damage, Masito e DJ Baro. Since its inception, the group has established itself in the hip hop scene, first in the capital and then throughout Italy, establishing itself alongside big names such as Mixed Blood, Frankie Hi Nrg e Article 31. I Colle der Fomento boast four albums that are considered classics of the Italian rap scene: the most recent Adversus was released in 2018 and includes collaborations with the likes of Bassi Maestro, Kaos One e Roy Paci.
Il Muro del Canto are Daniele Coccia Paifelman (voice), Alessandro Pieravanti (narrator and drums), Eric Caldironi (acoustic guitar), Ludovico Lamarra (electric bass), Franco Pietropaoli (electric guitar) and Alessandro Marinelli (accordion). With a rough and intense sound, the group combines modernity and tradition in an authentic, timeless folk voice. Their latest album, L'Amore Mio Non More, maintains some distinctive traits and, at the same time, introduces several new rhythmic and harmonic solutions. The search for a direct and real language continues, in which the strength of the Capitoline dialect, which has always nourished the band's strong roots, emerges clearly from the title in a passionate and stubborn declaration of intent.
