After the successful Milan date last January, the young singer-songwriter Colter Wall returns with a new date for fans of blues, folk and country: Wednesday 20 March will be at Circolo Magnolia, Segrate (MI). I tickets will be available from 10 a.m. on Friday 26 October on circuits Vivaticket e Ticketone (online and points of sale); access to the concert will require the ARCI membership card 2019.
Singer-songwriter from the endless prairies of the Saskatchewan region of Canada, Colter Wall is the revelation of the moment: at only 23 years of age he has conquered Rick Rubin ("Colter writes and sings timeless songs, which is totally unusual for such a young boy") e Steve Earle ("He is certainly the best young songwriter I have met in twenty years"). An excellent result for someone who claims to be inspired by the likes of Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, Emmylou Harris e Waylon Jennings.
The debut of Wall dates back to 2015, when it released the self-produced EP Imaginary Appalachia which, amidst raw and visceral baritone vocal lines, folk guitars and idiomatic banjo-playing and storytelling, has thrown Colter Wall into the spotlight. His debut album, the eponymous Colter Wallproduced by Dave Cobb and released in May 2017, definitively established him: now his mission is to make his music known to the world.
