D-A-D, THE DANISH BAND COMES TO BLOOM IN MEZZAGO WITH THE 30/30/30 TOUR

I D-A-D, the historic melodic heavy rock band from Copenhagen, are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a tour across Europe, which will also touch down in our country for a single Italian date. Attention! The D-A-D concert, originally scheduled to take place at the Factory in Milan, has been moved to the Bloom in Mezzago (MB).

I D-A-D will perform at the Bloom in Mezzago (MB) on 8 April 2014.

30 years together with only one change in the line-up, when Laust Sonne replaced the drummer Peter Lundholm Jensen in 1999, testify to the harmony and cohesion of one of the bands that most influenced, with their style and sound, a number of exponents of the Scandinavian hard rock scene to come, first and foremost Backyard Babies and Hellacopters.

I D-A-D began playing together in the early 1980s under the monicker of Disneyland After Darkthen changed their name to D.A.D., D:A:D and, since 2000, D-A-D: each change reflects a different phase in the band's career. The band releases the first full-length "Call of the Wild' in 1986, but it was in 1989 that the consecration at international level took place thanks to the album 'No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims"which earned her a million-dollar contract with the Warner Bros..

The latest studio work of the D-A-D, "DIC.NII.LAN.DAFT.ERD.ARK"from 2011, nominated as 'best album' at the Danish Music Awards 2012, is characterised by melancholic melodies reminiscent of 1970s classic rock, yet without neglecting the raw guitars and energetic, addictive riffs that have always been the band's trademark.

The current formation of the D-A-D includes brothers Jesper (vocals and guitar) and Jacob (lead guitar) Binzerthe bass player Stig Pedersen e Laust Sonne to the battery.
