The rebirth of a legend! I Dead Can Dance, a true milestone for having dominated the music scene of the 80s and 90s before, announce the European dates of their "World Tour", including one in Italy, Friday 19 October 2012 at Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan.
These are the first concerts since 2005, and on this occasion the Dead Can Dance will tour 4 continents in 8 months between 2012 and 2013. The band, consisting of the sublime voice of Lisa Gerrard and the charismatic multi-instrumentalist Brendan Perryin support of the tour will release in spring a new albumthe first since 'Spritchaser' in 1996.
Brendan Perry on the band's official website greets the rebirth of Dead Can Dance: "Lisa and I are genuinely excited to be working together again in the studio. We started writing this album in the autumn of 2011 and the final recordings will take place shortly at Quivvy Studios in Ireland. The album will be released in spring, marking the awakening of nature and the subsequent rebirth of the band. On the live side, our plans are also well advanced: we've assembled a great team of musicians who have agreed to put their individual careers on hold to play live with us the music from the new album and some of our re-arranged historic tracks".
Dead Can Dance's European tour debuts on 19 September in Istanbul and ends in Dublin on 28 October, after 22 concerts including the only one in Italy, on 19 October, for which tickets will be on sale from 2 March on the Ticketone circuit.. These are the prices:
