With this press release, Deep Purple announce a change of plans for next summer, which will see them in the studio instead of touring.
IDeep Purplewill release their new album in 2013. This was stated by the singerIan Gillanwho announces that the band will return to the studio this summer to record and, only after finishing work, will return live with a new tour that will continue into next year. His words:
"We know that some of our fans will be disappointed that they will not be able to see us in concert this summer, however we look forward to starting the winter tour and continuing the world tour with the new album in 2013".
The long-awaited new work, still untitled, will be the successor to 'The Rapture of the Deep', dated 2005.
New tour dates will be announced soon.
Tickets for the Vigevano and Rome dates are refundable through the same purchasing channels, no later than 16 April 2012.
